Unifeeder to call the port of Ust-Luga from 29 December

New liner service of Unifeeder shortsea and feeder shipping company provides alternative for shipping lines to St. Petersburg:

The Unifeeder shipping line enhances its offer for liner services linking the European continent and Greater St. Petersburg. On 29 December the maiden trip will take place between Hamburg and Rotterdam on the one hand, and the newly constructed container terminal in Ust Luga (annual capacity: 440,000 TEU) on the other hand. Including the new service Unifeeder makes seven weekly port calls in Greater St. Petersburg. Moreover, as the shipping company emphasises, Ust Luga offers good feeder options for container shipments to Russia’s economic centres: Moscow, Kaluga and St. Petersburg.

Unifeeder based in Aarhus, Denmark, operates by its own account the densest network of feeder and shortsea services in Northern Europe. About 300 employees in ten offices in eight European countries handled a total volume of about 1.8 million TEU in 2011. The container services are linking the major European ports Hamburg, Rotterdam, Antwerp and Zeebrugge to destinations in the UK, Scandinavia, the Baltic States and Russia. The shortsea division offers door-to-door container treansport solutions across Europe.
