Scherübl Transport launches “unique high-tech delivery“ service

Switching to a new delivery computer, a new era started for the Scherübl Transport GmbH. With immediate effect the subsidiary of trans-o-flex ThermoMed GmbH & Co. KG in Austria, which is specialising on actively temperature controlled transportations for the pharmaceutical industry, offers “consignment tracking that is unique across the country“. The new high-tech devices transfer delivery information via radio data directly afterwards. In addition to usual data about consignments and recipients the temperature control during the transportation is documented as well. “We are the only ones who are able to provide this service in Austria“, says Carsten Glos, Managing Director of the trans-o-flex ThermoMed group, a company of the Austrian Post AG. The introduction of the electronic delivery system trans-o-flex easy in Austria the complete trans-o-flex ThermoMed group has a standard IT solution. “However our national companies do not only work with uniform delivery devices, but also with the uniform operating system Toks“, emphasises Glos. Toks stands for the operative core systems of trans-o-flex and forms the basis for all internal processes. It controls the handling and generation of information about consignments or parcels. Toks comprises also programs for disposition, process control and customer service. Glos: „By introducing Toks and trans-o-flex easy we are able to harmonise all temperature controlled transport processes in the complete ThermoMed network. Thus we are taking another step to distinguish ourselves with regard to quality and competition in Austria.” Scherübl Transport GmbH is by their own account Austria’s market leader for temperature-controlled pharmaceutical transportations. At four locations the enterprise employs around 100 persons. The service portfolio comprises special solutions that guarantee continuous cool chains for the temperature ranges 2 to 8 degree Celsius and 15 to 25 degree Celsius with a gapless temperature record from producer to end customer.
