Cable producer Nexus awards logistics order in the German port of Nordenham to Rhenus Midgard

About 30 kilometres of submarine cables were transported by Rhenus Midgard last May via cargo railway to the north German port of Nordenham. The order carried out on behalf of Nexans, one of the world’s leading producers in the cable industry, covers also storage and throughput services. This project extends Rhenus Midgard’s logistics service range for the offshore industry.

Moreover Nordenham provides access to the North Sea without locks“, Uwe Oppitz, Location Manager Rhenus Midgard in Nordenham, emphasises the advantages of the Lower Saxonian port area. Rhenus has been operating a peer in Nordenham, specially designed to meet the requirements of submarine cable logistics.
