Movianto DACH extends cold storage warehouse facility in Germany

Healthcare logistics provider Movianto answers to increasing demand for cold storage by extending its German Neunkirchen site by 5,500 pallet spaces

Movianto DACH (Germany, Switzerland and Austria) announces the extension of the existing Neunkirchen cold storage facility by 5,500 cold pallet spaces. The full capacity of the Saarland warehouse plus this extension will be 40,000 temperature controlled pallet locations, including 7,700 cold pallet spaces (+2°C – +8°C) and 600 pallet spaces for narcotics. The warehouse extension has been operational since 1st of August 2014.

Movianto in Germany operates two ISO 9001:2008 certified warehouses located in Kist/Bavaria and Neunkirchen/Saarland respectively. In recent years, it has continuously expanded the Neunkirchen site as a direct response to the clients‘ needs. The warehouse offers active cooling for controlled ambient storage (+15°C – +25°C)  and cold storage (+2°C – 8°C) of 22,112 sqm. Furthermore, the site contains 1,500 sqm for offices and social facilities as well as 960 sqm for partially restricted manufacturing services.
