In the interview with the Austrian transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung Managing Director Oliver Lappel invites companies from industry, trade, transport and logistics to participate in the „innovative ‚meeting point’ for truck transportations, air and sea freight“. According to his statements partners be successful on a secure and simple way in just three steps. “There is no registration fee, no risk and no effort. Members that are currently checked for their credit standing increase the safety of the participants“, explains Lappel.
The check-cargo.com market supports companies from industry and trade with a simple and quick search for the right transporters for their goods. “This reduces transport costs and saves a considerable amount of time“, says Lappel. The enterprise based in Perchtoldsdorf near Vienna helps forwarders and transporters with a quick and simple search for additional cargo and hence to optimise the capacity utilisation as well as generation of higher sales revenues.
In the initial stage check-cargo.com acts as a junction between eight Austrian shippers and ten suppliers of transport and logistic services. The company charges a fee at the amount of 1.9 per cent of the freight value for every successfully mediated order. In the beginning the market will be available in German, an English version is to follow soon.
