Improved Iraq service with CMA CGM

CMA CGM is to start operating its renovated deep water quay in Umm Qasr (Iraq) on 30 April

The French shipping company CMA CGM is about to considerably upgrade its Iraq services. On 30 April the deep water quay in Umm Qasr port, which had been renovated in the past months, is to start operating. The 200-metres facility has the most modern cargo-handling equipment and a broad range of security devices (including 28 cameras). It is dedicated exclusively to CMA CGM vessels and allows direct reefer services to and from Iraq.

In Iraq CMA CGM operates three office – in Baghdad, Basra and Umm Qasr, whose employees offer door-to-door transport solutions. The weekly feeder service between Umm Qasr and Khor Fakkan in the United Arab Emirates, operated with two vessels of each 880 TEU capacity, serves as a link to the global route network of the enterprise.
