Frank Markovits moves to the top of DB Schenker Logistics in Bulgaria

DB Schenker Logistics: Philipp Coloseus is appointed new Product Manager Air Freight at the regional head office Vienna; Helmut Schweighofer rises in hierarchy
 
Some personnel changes are to take place within the DB Schenker Logistics regional head office for Southeast Europe. Frank Markovits (39) is the new CEO of Schenker EOOD, the Bulgarian company of DB Schenker Logistics. Helmut Schweighofer, who led the organisation four years, is going to take over new responsibilities within the group.
 
Frank Markovits is born in Austria and began his logistics career at Spedition Kirchner und CO. He joined Schenker & Co AG (Vienna) in 2000 as head of Product Managements Air Freight and from 2006 to 2010 he was responsible for air freight at the Vienna branch. Before moving to Sofia, Markovits was again Product Manager Air Freight at the Schenker & Co AG regional head office.
 
In Bulgaria Schenker EOOD provides transport services from the segments: land, ocean and air freight as well as contract logistics. Apart from Sofia, where a new terminal with its own rail siding was opened in 2010, DB Schenker Logistics, which employs more than 170 people in Bulgaria, also has offices in Plovdiv, Sevlievo, Bourgas, Rouse and Varna.
