Container operator IMS announces takeover of Vectura s.r.o. (Bratislava)

Acquisition of container operator Vectura s.r.o. opens the gate to Slovakia for IMS – Intermove System (Vienna)

The container operator IMS – Intermove System Speditions- und Transport GmbH (Vienna) boosts its market appearance in central and eastern Europe. As of now the enterprise has an own location in Slovakia’s capital Bratislava. The basis for this step was the majority acquisition of the Slovak container operator Vectura s.r.o. (Bratislava). “This step has enabled us to serve the Slovak industrial centres better and integrate them into our systems“, IMS Managing Director Wolfgang Tomassovich gives the motives for this expansion.

The service portfolio of IMS Cargo Slovakia s.r.o. ranges from combined transport to national and international trucking services, container rental services and conventional shipping. The IMS headquarters provides customers in western Slovakia access to a combined transport network with 16 departures per week via Vienna.

The location in Bratislava counts 4 employees. The office is connected via VPN to the IT systems of the stations in Vienna and Hamburg, which grants a secure, smooth internal communication according to Tomassovich.
