AsstrA improves logistics for foodstuffs- and consumer goods industry

After certification according to ISO standard 22000:2005 foodstuffs are in good hands with the CIS specialist AsstrA

In a press release, AsstrA Associated Traffic AG  has announced certification according to ISO standard 22000:2005. The company has already successfully completed the audit for the international standard in May. The transport- and logistics service provider with headquarters in Switzerland has proven that its processes meet the international requirements for management systems in the foodstuffs industry. The standard is applicable for all companies which produce, process, package or transport foodstuffs.

„The improvement of logistics for the foodstuffs- and convenience goods industry is one of the AsstrA key areas”, chief executive officer Dimitri Lagun comments on the certification. “Our customer list includes 15 leading international companies in these areas. We are continually working on improving the quality and reliability of our services.”

Foodstuffs, beverages and other convenience goods (FMCG) are the largest commodity group for AsstrA. The ISO certification 22000:2005 guarantees the safety of the transports as well as compliance with all obligatory legal and official requirements regarding the transportation conditions as well as the storage of foodstuffs to all customers. The certificate was issued by Bureau Veritas, one of the globally leading companies in the certification business. AsstrA received the ISO14001:2004 certification, which states all requirements for the environmental management system, in March this year.
