Robert Brugger assumes new function with DSV

Danish transport and logistics group DSV appoints Robert Brugger Managing Director CEE Division Air & Sea
 
Dr. Robert Brugger (45) is making a comeback in the transportation and logistics industry. The Danish DSV Group is appointed the native Styrian with effect from 1 May 2013 as Managing Director CEE Division Air & Sea. In this newly created function, the former Managing Director of Panalpina Eastern Europe heads a team of nearly 100 employees at locations in Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria and former Yugoslavia. Stefan Weiss continues to in charge of the organization of Austria DSV Air & Sea (12 people).
 
In his new function Robert Brugger shall position DSV as a strong and powerful brand for air and sea freight in Central and Eastern Europe. His task is first to win new major customers with the existing structures in the areas of DSV Road, DSV Air & Sea and DSV Solutions. Robert Brugger coordinates of the associated agendas from the DSV office in Graz. In general, his function will be characterized by an intense travel activity.
 
DSV Air & Sea with approximately 6,000 employees worldwide, has forwarded more than 700,000 TEU of sea freight and 250,000 tonnes of air freight. This resulted in a turnover of nearly EUR 2.7 billion. The DSV group stands for approximately 22,000 employees at locations in over 70 countries and EUR 6 billion in annual sales. DSV Road with 10,000 employees operates daily over 17,000 trucks. In the DSV Solutions segment more than 5,000 people are involved in the management of 130 warehouses with 2.2 million m² of covered area.
