AsstrA reached the level of EUR 200 million turnover

Collaboration with companies in the FMCG business is the key driver of success with AsstrA group

For the first time in its history the annual turnover of Asstra group (Zurich) reached the level of EUR 200 million in 2012. That amounts to 12.5 percent more than the turnover in the previous year. Despite some negative trends occurred in the world’s economy, AsstrA managed to increase customer’s portfolio as well as strengthened and developed intercommunion with the key customers. The result was 75,000 executed orders by 800 routes worldwide in 2012.

The main increase was registered in collaboration with companies in FMCG. Its share in AsstrA’s total turnover increased up to 45 percent. Moreover, better cooperation was fixed with the chemical, machinery, metallurgy, construction and automotive industries.

Commenting the results of 2012, Dmitry Lagun, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AsstrA, noted: "When the market does not show a steady growth, the main source to improve the financial results is to meet needs of the existing customers. Having implemented together with the customer logistics KPI to improve the service quality, in 2012 we received an ideal percentage of orders that is equal to 94 percent and makes plus 10 percent in comparison with 2011. Finally, we managed to increase the volume of cooperation with almost all key customers, diversify customer’s portfolio, and launched interaction with new international companies and these facts became the main results of 2012 for us".

Among the events that contributed to the positive results, AsstrA’s geographic expansion (new offices in China, Germany and the Czech Republic), first M&A procedure (absorption Polish IPB), and customs services development (license of a customs broker in Russia, now in AsstrA’s possession exist six own customs agencies) were relevant. In addition, last year two more projects such as ‘Consumer Electronics’ and ‘Spirits Logistics’ were started.

AsstrA is an international company with its head office in Zurich (Switzerland) with a strong business reputation and nearly 20 years of experience in logistics. About 800 company employees work in CIS countries, Western and Eastern Europe and China.
