Kuehne + Nagel targets automotive sector in India

Pune has become the hub for automotive logistics in India since a lot of headquarters and manufacturing facilities of automotive companies are located in the city. At its new Automotive Solution Centre, Kuehne + Nagel is offering a customised portfolio of services, ranging from vendor managed inventory (VMI), just-in time (JIT) and just-in-sequence (JIS) deliveries over milk runs and cross docking through to solution designing, emergency handling, network engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.

The facility relates to Kuehne + Nagel’s similar set-ups in Bremen (Germany) and Shanghai (China), and represents a further step in the company’s commitment to offering specialised solutions for manufacturers and suppliers.
