Greencarrier takes over PTS UK Ltd.

Swedish forwarding group Greencarrier gains a strong foothold in the UK traffic market with the acquisition of PTS UK Ltd.

 

Taking over PTS UK Ltd. with its headquarters in Ipswich, the Swedish forwarding group Greencarrier is entering the UK market under its own company name. The two enterprises have been working with each other for five years in the transport logistics segment between the UK on the one hand, and Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and the Baltic States on the other hand. The purchase agreement was signed on 12 April, 2011 and the acquisition is expected to be completed before the end of May. This includes PTS UK Ltd to be renamed Greencarrier PTS Limited in due course.

PTS was founded in 1980 and has eversince evolved into a specialist for groupage, part and full loads between the UK and Northern Europe. The enterprise has 40 staff at its sites in Ipswich and Immingham. It operates a fleet of 17 motorised vehicles and more than 100 trailers. Greencarrier has 300 employees working in 26 offices in nine countries.
